1. Always store and transport the swimming goggles in a case
When the swimming goggles are not in use, they should always be in place a casei! It is the best protection at any time, and can extend their life significantly. Not least because a case protects the entire swimming goggle so that the lenses do not get scratched, the elastic does not become slack and the closing/fastening mechanism does not take a hit and thus break. There are different cases, some of which are not better than others as such, but there are different parameters you can look for:
Does the case have a hard or soft shell
Does it have a lining or soft interior - and possibly compartments and elastics
How durable is the zipper
It has small holes for drainage of water and ventilation
Is it made of hard rigid plastic or can the case give a little
The advantage of having a case with a hard shell is that they can better withstand shock and pressure in e.g. a swimming bag. That kind of protector a soft case not as well received, but on the other hand, it does not take up as much space and can be more easily in small rooms.
Most cases have some kind of soft lining that also protects against impact, pressure and scratches, but the smartest cases for swimming goggles also has room for storage. This makes it possible to fasten them better so that they do not move around in the case during transport. This kind of thing can also cause scratches. It can also be that they have an elastic band instead, but they can do the job just as well.
Last but not least, it should be mentioned that many of the best cases also have holes that drain the interior of water and create ventilation, so that it avoids mold and deposits on the swimming goggles.
