These types of swimsuits exist

It's okay if you are having doubts about which kind of swimsuit to pick, and which types even exist. We get it, because it can quite simply be a bit of a jungle - and a large one at that. But luckily for you, we care enough about our customers to help you make the perfect choice for you - a choice that we hope you will get a little closer to with these words:

1. A swimsuit is not the same as a bathing suit. Where a bathing suit is made for competitive swimmers, and thus have to fit relatively tight to the body, a swimsuit is more like a suit you wear to the pool to play and have fun. It doesn't have to be as tight fitting to the body. Apart from this there isn't any major differences however. Technically you can easily use a swimsuit for swim practice and vice versa.

2. You have to decide if you want a swimsuit with legs or without legs. A swimsuit with legs doesn't necessarily have to go all the way to the knees, but typically stops at the hips. That means you don't get the y around the butt, which also means that it covers more when it has legs. Because of this a swimsuit with legs is also very popular among older or larger women. As you can probably figure out, a swimsuit without legs is the typical swimsuit with the y-shape.

3. You also have to figure out if you want an open or closed back on your swimsuit. With an open back we mean that the entire back is "free", and that straps keep the swimsuit up, while a closed back means that the entire back is covered by the swimsuit. And this is pretty much the only difference.

Swimsuit with legs

You have probably seen one of these before. Perhaps in the beach or in the waterpark. In any case swimsuits with legs are very popular among girls and women. Because of this we also have different kinds of swimsuits with legs here on watery.ie. So regardless if you like a yellow, red, rainbow coloured swimsuit with legs, you can definitely find it!
