All of our own Watery swim trunks are made from PBT polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles collected from the sea. It delivers a strong and durable thread that is soft against the skin and quick-drying. Great for the environment and your comfort.

If you are looking for competition swim trunks, there are some completely different parameters at play. You see, these consist of a mixture of polyester, elastane and carbon. Beginner swim trunks are typically high in polyester and low in elastane. This makes them more durable, but not as fast in the water. The more elastane there is, the better they adapt to the body, and provides you a higher degree of hydrodynamics. If you're like a fish in water, carbon panels must be incorporated into the weave, but then you're all set to chase some records!

1. Remember your swim trunks, when you've been to the pool. This is the way we have lost the most pairs. It's annoying and frustrating. So make sure to look in your bag an extra time before leaving the area.
2. Rinse them in cold water after EACH practice and after EACH competition. This goes for both training- and competition swim trunks - and will significantly reduce the wear.
3. Don't lend them out to your swim buddies. They either have a different body shape than you, and wind up getting too big - or you will forget to get them back.
