Getting one's hips and legs all the way up to the water's edge and thus achieving the optimal body position in the water is typically a problem for newer and inexperienced swimmers in particular, as it is most often the arms that drive the momentum and the legs are therefore “forgotten” with the result that they quickly lie half down on the bottom during the swim.

The Pelican Neoprene swim trunks are constructed on the outside in the special Jako Smooth-Skin neoprene, which is made up of small air bubbles that provide a higher degree of buoyancy than more normally used neoprene. As such, this material is specially designed for neoprene swim trunks, where it is not necessarily about heat. That there is a difference in the thickness of the neoprene with 3 mm on the front and back and 5 mm on the side panels, makes it possible to still have the natural hip rotation in swimming.

In addition, ACS Nano coating has been added to the surface, which gives the swimming trunks a completely smooth surface, so that water does not stick and you therefore create less water resistance.

On the inside, the swim trunks are made from 100% nylon, which provides a comfortable and soft feel when worn.

The swimming trunks are constructed with a lower waist in the front, while sitting high in the back. This difference ensures optimal freedom of movement and makes normal breathing possible, as the pressure on the stomach is reduced.

At the bottom of the leg opening, a built-in elastic has been added, which ensures that the swimming trunks fit snugly against the leg without being insufficiently tight.

Although they are swimming trunks, they are also used to a large extent by women/girls who have the same challenges with “sagging” legs/hips. They can simply be put on top of the bathing suit. For men/boys, they can be worn with or without ordinary swimming trunks underneath.
