Swim bags - Recommendations

A good swim bag is in many ways a swimmer's best training companion, as it should contain everything you need to be the best in the water. Naturally, this also places some demands on swim bags to ensure they are the most optimal. This is especially true when it comes to their design and how easy it is to organise different swimming equipment and swimwear in the bag. As a swimmer, you always need to know exactly where each part is so you can easily find the different items you need.

That's why the best swim bags also have many compartments in different sizes, so you can separate the smaller items from the larger ones.

Typically, you have the following in your swim bag

• 2 towels
• Bathing suits or swimming trunks
• 2 pairs of swim goggles
• Indoor shoes for dryland / land training / stretching before or after training
• Wallet / phone / keys
• Water bottle
• Workout clothes
• “Lunch pack” for pre- / post-workout

All of this should be able to be packed in different compartments. Alongside this, you have the swimming net with all the swimming equipment in it. 

In addition, it is also a clear advantage if they have dry and wet compartments, so you can easily transport your wet swimwear without the rest of the swim bag getting soaked after swimming. For school kids, the bag should also have a laptop compartment, as many use the swim bag as a school bag. 

Of course, water resistance is also a factor. When they are near water, it requires, that the zips do not crack/leak, and the bottom should be made of waterproof material so that nothing seeps up from below.
