Arm floaties - Recommendations

Arm floaties - also called water wings - is a classic when it comes to flotation aids for kids. They are effective at keeping kids above water, and provide a good support for those who need to learn to swim. Often times, kids with the most basic swimming skills doesn’t need anything more than arm floaties to get the right support in the water.

They come in different models, that all have the same flotation ability, but in their design offers a couple of different types of comfort.

• Inflatable in plastic: The cheapest and classic arm floaties. Works as intended, but can become irritating over time, since they have sharp edges which can cut if you’re getting too rowdy in the water. Is stable on the arms.
• Foam and neoprene: A more high-end version (and therefore more expensive). They don’t need to be inflated, but are always ready to use. The buoyancy in this type of arm floaties is made from the same foam also used in some swimming vest, ensuring a good and stable buoyancy, that isn’t reduced with prolonged use. Somewhat more comfortable, and can be used for several hours without irritation.
