This immediately got me thinking—as the owner of Watery, Denmark's largest retailer of swim goggles, swimming equipment, and swimwear, I realize there must be many other municipalities across Denmark without adequate eye protection for their healthcare and care staff.
Even though we've also been hit hard by COVID-19—having to send several employees home with pay and seeing a sales drop of over 60 percent—it's more important than ever to stand together and help wherever we can.
My team and I are determined to do our part to help in this very unusual situation.
That's why we've decided to donate at least 1,000 swim goggles and diving masks to municipalities in Denmark that are in need of close-fitting eye protection for their dedicated municipal employees fighting coronavirus. These workers are on the front line caring for society’s most vulnerable, often without the extra protection to keep themselves safe. We want to help change that.
All these swim goggles and diving masks are currently just sitting in our warehouse, purchased in bulk last fall to prepare for what would typically be our busiest season. With swimming pools closed and most travel plans canceled, that peak season never arrived—and the outlook remains uncertain. So instead, we think it's far better that these swim goggles and diving masks are put to good use where they're needed most right now.

Just include a short description of your situation, how many you need, and the address for delivery. We'll make sure to ship them within 24 hours so you can use them as soon as possible. To reach as many municipalities as possible—especially where the need is greatest—we’re currently setting a limit of 100 pairs of swim goggles/diving masks per municipality.
