Which one should you choose? A 45L or 30L TYR swim bag?

Many are primarily in doubt when they have to choose between the big 45L TYR bag or the smaller 30L TYR bag.

At Watery.ie, we normally recommend the following:

- You should choose the big 45L: You (your kid) is above the age of 11
- You should choose the small 30L: You (your kid) is under the age of 11

This is from the perspective that many younger swimmer quickly regret choosing the small one, as they easily could have carried the big one, even though it might seem at bit overwhelming at first.

Despite this, you should choose the bag depending on what you're going to use it for. If you're only going to use it for the daily swim training, then many older swimmers, all the way up to 20 years old, choose the small 30L one, as it is easier to carry when you're biking or if you're at school - in addition they also have a 45L for competitions.

Daniel: My personal experience with TYR swim bags

As a former elite swimmer for more than 10 year with up to 8 swim training sessions a week, I have had quite a few different swim bags through the years. The first one I had was the old TYR bag, which has now been discontinued. It lasted for 4 years and was impeccable. Next, I had a Speedo swim bag for a couple of years, then an Arena swim bag, and the final two years before I quit, I once again had a TYR swim bag.
