When it comes to teaching your kid (or yourself) to swim, a swim belt is a must. It's been that way for a long time, and it still is. Best swim belts for kids (and adults)

You and your kid probably already know it well.

It is therefore rare to find a cork belt today, as most swim belts are made of other materials that typically provide better buoyancy than the old cork belts did.

Can you bring your own swim belt to the swimming pool?

Yes, you can.

And that's why it's a good idea to get your own.

However, you should be aware that it can easily be swapped with the ones you already find in some swimming pools (because not all swimming pools have swim belts or bathing belts). The swim belts you find on this site are largely the same as the ones you'll find at the swimming pool - but then you have the option of using the belt at home and not least at the beach (where the kid needs to stay afloat).

But yes, in most swimming pools you are allowed to bring your own swim belt (along with a swim vest or arm wings, by the way).

When it comes to buoyancy in the water, there are several tools you can use.

In addition to swim belts, there are also arm wings and swim vests.

Normally, we recommend either using a swim belt and arm wings together or using a swim vest.

The choice between the two is mostly up to you and what your kid is most comfortable using. There really isn't much difference between the two.

In case you and your kid are going to use the swim belt for a trip to the beach, a pair of swim shoes will actually be a good addition to the swim belt, so your kid's feet are also protected from the sharp rocks, and they are also made with a non-slip bottom.
