This is how a mermaid tail with a monofin works

A mermaid tail with a monofin is made from the same materials as ordinary swimwear, but with a swim fin inside, that is to be mounted at the bottow part. This monofin works like a swim fin, making it possible to swim twice as fast while gliding normally. It is a fun and exciting way to improve your swimming technique, but it does require that the kid is more than 6 years old and capable of swimming safely.

Mermaid tails for kids above the age of 6

Mermaid tails with a monofin are recommended for kids who are more than 6 years old. To be able to swim safely with a mermaid tail, the kid should be able to do the following:

• Float on their back for 30 secounds
• Do the "spiral" by turning around in the water while maintaining control
• Swim 25 meters without help
• Swim as a dolphin (butterfly-leg) on their back and stomach
