Diving goggles
Diving goggles are always a hit! In this category you'll find just the best of the best diving goggles. There aren't many, but the ones that are there are really comfortable and cosy to wear and are of consistently high quality. The vast majority of diving goggles are from the recognised and very popular swimming brand, Aquasphere, which in recent years has been a major player in the sale of diving goggles and swim goggles.
An example of a really comfortable and good diving goggle is Aquasphere Vista, which is available in men's, women's and kids' models.
Do you love diving to the bottom of the sea and looking at beautiful fish and corals? Or diving around in the warm pool on holiday? We do at Watery.dk. Because it's bloody fun and super exciting!
We always use a special kind of diving goggles for this - and not our regular swim goggles. We do this because with diving goggles you can see much wider and discover even more beautiful fish out of the corner of your eye. We also love to swim on the surface with a pair of diving goggles and a snorkel attached to the goggles to breathe while keeping our head in the water.
This is probably one of our favourite things to do, because you can see so many beautiful things on the bottom without being interrupted or stressed by the fact that you're running out of air. You should try the same!
Although they are two different names with two different purposes, diving goggles can easily be used as swim goggles and vice versa. This is certainly the case in many public swim pools in Ireland, where a lot of young people use the large diving goggles. This is not at all unusual, which is understandable. They're more comfortable, you don't get the same “sore” nose, and diving goggles just look super cool.
Similarly, you can easily wear your swim goggles when you're on holiday and going diving. Easily - no problem at all.
The reason there is a difference between diving goggles and swim goggles is really just the size. While swim goggles mainly cover the eyes, diving goggles also cover most of the head and the nose to avoid water in the nose.
It's probably easier to ask why you shouldn't buy them. Because there are so many good reasons to buy diving goggles! Because snorkelling is virtually impossible if you don't have them. Diving goggles are an essential part of your snorkelling set, and you won't get much out of putting your snorkel in your mouth if you don't have them. They ensure your visibility and prevent water in your nose, so they're pretty much indispensable.
Of course, you can go to the beach and swim pool with regular goggles, or you can choose not to wear them at all, but if you want to explore underwater life, diving goggles are the safe and right choice. They allow you to take long dives and prevent water from entering while you swim around on the bottom. You can get by without them if you're just going for a swim, but if you're diving, there's no way around it: you simply need a good, reliable pair of diving goggles - and you can get them here.
Getting water in your nose is such a strange and uncomfortable feeling that it's hard to describe. It often comes on suddenly, but there's often nothing you can do about it. And yet. Because you can avoid it completely if you swim with diving goggles or a diving mask. Diving goggles cover your nose, so it's impossible to get water in your nose. So, you should get a pair of diving goggles if you experience the same annoying problem with water in your nose. For example, one of the best diving goggles is the Aqua Sphere Seal 2.0 or Aqua sphere vista Junior for kids.
The bigger, the better. That's almost how we feel about diving goggles. You might not look great with a mask that takes up half your head, but who cares when you can have so much fun diving?
Here at Watery.ie we also have a lot of big diving goggles. Even the really big ones (which are usually the best). We also have them in several colours, so whether you like blue or pink, yellow or purple - there's a pair for you. And when you shop with us, you also get:
