Nappy swim trunks vs swim diapers?

When you need a diaper for your baby that he/she can use while in the water, there are two options.

You can either choose a nappy swim trunk, where the nappy and swim trunks are combined in one and the same trunk.

The advantages of this are that you have a reusable swim nappy that you do not need to change - you just need to wash it a little every time an accident might occur.

Another option is dedicated swim diapers, as you know them from ordinary diapers.

These are "regular" diapers that are just made of a different material, so that it can both hold water and at the same time keep the faeces inside the diaper itself, so that it does not leak into the water.

But in addition to these diapers, your baby/kid must also have either a baby swimsuit or a pair of baby swim trunks, because the swim diaper cannot be the only protection.

So you can say, that these are also disposable swim diapers, which you therefore have to change every time an accident happens. This can be expensive in the long run, but it can of course also be extra nice for the baby to get a new pair of diapers every time they go to the swimming pool.

So it's a little trade-off you have to make yourself. Perhaps you could try both to see what the kid likes best.
