When you need a diaper for your baby that he/she can use while in the water, there are two options.

You can either choose a nappy bathing trunk, where the nappy and swimming trunks are combined in one and the same trunk.

The advantages of this are that you have a reusable swim nappy that you do not need to change - you just need to wash it a little every time an accident should occur.

This is also the reason why many people prefer nappy swimming trunks, since they save a lot of money compared to the constant purchase of nappies and, not least, they are better for the environment.

Another option is dedicated swim diapers, as you know them from ordinary diapers.

These are "regular" diapers that are just made of a different material, so that it can both hold water and at the same time keep the faeces inside the diaper itself, so that it does not leak into the water.

But in addition to these diapers, your baby/child must also have either a baby swim suit or a pair of baby swimming trunks, because the bathing diaper cannot be the only protection.

So you can say, that these are also disposable swim diapers, which you therefore have to change every time an accident happens. This can be expensive in the long run, but it can of course also be extra nice for the baby to get a new pair of diapers every time they go to the swimming pool.

So it's a little trade-off you have to make yourself. Perhaps you could try both to see what the child likes best.
