Why do so many (+5,500) use our ice bath

Explore the significant health benefits of cold water therapy and find out if it fits your personal needs.

Improved and deeper sleep:

Research indicates that cold baths can lower body temperature and stimulate the production of melatonin, a hormone that promotes sleep, resulting in a better and more restful night's sleep.

Relief of muscle and joint pain:

Regular cold baths can have a positive effect on the relief of muscle and joint pain. This is because the body releases different signalling chemicals that help reduce pain.

Improved blood circulation:

When the body is exposed to cold, the blood vessels constrict, and when the body warms up again, they expand. This can lead to improved blood circulation and better overall health.

Mental Wellbeing:

Studies show that cold baths can improve mood and concentration, contributing to mental clarity. This is due to the release of endorphins and dopamine, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression over time.

Warning for new ice bathers when using the Hero ice bath tub

Before using the ice bath, it is important to consult a doctor, particularly if you have existing health problems.

It is also essential to avoid ice baths if you are pregnant, have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure, diabetes, conditions such as neuropathy or retinal damage, use a pacemaker, have a history of frostbite, have open wounds, have undergone recent surgery, suffer from epilepsy or have other health concerns or risk factors.

Be aware that kids are particularly sensitive to extreme temperatures, and it is always recommended to supervise kids when using the ice bath.

When your body is exposed to cold water, your core body temperature drops, causing blood vessels to constrict and reducing blood flow. This, in combination with existing health concerns, can cause an increase in blood pressure and increase the risk of cardiac arrest or stroke.

Important: Do not push beyond your physical limits, and stop immediately if you experience negative symptoms. Seek immediate medical attention.
