A favourite among many is the Aquasphere Stingray Junior wetsuit, which excels in warmth, flexibility, and a cool design.
This wetsuit is constructed from two different types of materials. The strong blue parts of the suit are made of 2 mm neoprene, which aims to provide good buoyancy and keep your kid warm, while the black parts of the suit are made of lycra. The combination of these two materials means that your kid can stay warm, float easily, be protected from the sun, and remain extremely flexible.
This means that the wetsuit is ideal for use both in and out of the water and can be used in swimming pools, on the beach, or taken on holiday. Therefore, it is often used for both regular swimming and snorkelling.
The black parts of the suit, as mentioned, are lycra, which is strategically placed as lycra is extremely flexible, so your kid does not feel "locked" in the suit. This part of the suit protects 50% against the sun's UVA and UVB rays.
The coloured part of the suit is made of 2 mm neoprene, which contributes to buoyancy and insulation of heat. Another advantage of neoprene is that it protects 100% against the UVA and UVB rays from the sun, also making it ideal for use when the sun is sharp or on a beach holiday.
The suit itself has a simple and nice design where the primary colour is a nice blue, it is figure-hugging and therefore fits closely to your kid's body, the seams are soft so your kid does not get chafed even when the suit fits tightly.
