And when I say that during a swimming session, you sweat quite a lot, it's actually quite significant. For instance, when I swim a standard 2-hour swimming training program, I'm likely (not something I've tested, but just an educated guess) sweating somewhere between 2 and 3 liters, depending on the intensity and duration. So, you actually sweat just as much from swimming as you do from many other forms of exercise, even though you don't notice it in the same way.
Of course, it's not as much if you're just swimming for half an hour at a leisurely pace. But you do still sweat.

Now that you're aware you sweat while swimming, you should make sure to drink the same amount of fluids, so you don't end up dehydrated. That's why I recommend that your future best friend in the swimming hall will be your trusty water bottle filled with water or a soft drink. This way, you can have a little drink every time you swim a couple of laps. Just be aware that you might not necessarily feel thirsty while swimming, but you still need to make sure you're hydrating.
