Looking for a first racing swimsuit for your daughter? The Speedo LZR Ignite is exactly what you need!
This is our top-selling swimsuit for new competitive swimmers who are just entering the scene or aren't quite sure if it's for them yet. Here's why:
1. 100% FINA / World Aquatics approved.
The LZR Ignite is an official racing swimsuit approved by World Aquatics for all national and international swim meets.
2. Great support without being too tight
Many new/younger swimmers prefer their swimsuit not to be overly tight. This one meets those needs perfectly. Designed for beginners, yet still competition-ready, the suit fits snugly to support the muscles while allowing full freedom of movement.
3. Makes your daughter swim and feel faster
With this Speedo Junior racing suit, your daughter will feel as if she's gliding through the water compared to her previous non-competition swimsuit. This could potentially lead to setting new personal bests.
The suit is highly water-repellent, allowing water to flow off easily.
4. The coolest design
Featuring an Olympic-inspired red and blue design, it’s a favorite among many girls. She'll definitely look sharp on the starting block at her next meet.
Ultimately, this is the best beginner racing suit for many, offering an affordable alternative to pricier options. It allows her to feel a slight compression effect and minimizes water resistance.
Features/benefits of the Speedo LZR Ignite:
- Optimal muscle support and freedom of movement
- Assists the body into an optimal hydrodynamic position
- 100% FINA / World Aquatics approved
How to care for your racing swimwear
Racing swimsuits and swim trunks are technical garments with welded seams and applied markings. They last longer and maintain fit and compression when handled gently:
-
Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use — even after chlorinated and salt water. Don't wait until you get home.
-
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and agitation break down fibers and loosen seams and applied markings.
-
Use mild soap or detergent designed for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
-
Never wring out the garment. Gently squeeze out water.
-
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources.
-
Do not leave the garment wet in a bag or rolled in a towel — this traps heat and chemicals that degrade the material.
-
Avoid rough surfaces such as pool edges and tiles that can snag seams and markings.
