The difference between Valor, Intent, and Ignite
Speedo has three competition series, each matching different needs and swim styles.
-
LZR Pure Valor 2.0 is the most versatile suit. It’s ideal if you swim mid- or long-distance and need both support and the freedom to move.
-
LZR Pure Intent 2.0 is the most compressive and powerful—perfect for sprinters who want maximum stability and explosive power.
-
LZR Ignite is the most comfortable and forgiving of the three, a great option for both training and racing while still giving you that fast feeling.
With the LZR Pure Valor 2.0 you get a competition suit that combines speed, flexibility, and durability at the highest level. It’s designed to give you calm, support, and balance in the water—and help you bring your best every time you step onto the starting block.
How to care for your competition swimwear
Competition swimsuits and jammers are technical gear with bonded seams and applied logos. They last longest and keep their fit and compression when you treat them gently:
-
Rinse right away in cold, clean water after each use—even after swimming in chlorine or saltwater. Don’t wait until you get home.
-
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and rubbing break down the fibers and loosen seams and logos.
-
Use mild soap or detergent meant for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
-
Never wring your suit. Gently press out the water instead.
-
Lay flat to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight and any heat sources like radiators.
-
Don’t leave your suit wet in a bag or rolled up in a towel. This traps heat and pool chemicals that wear out the fabric faster.
-
Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges and tiles, since these can pull at the seams and logos.
