The Speedo LZR Ignite is for you if you want the competitive feel and technology of Speedo’s top models—but in a more comfortable, flexible version. It’s perfect for both training and races, and a great choice if you want a fast jammer without the extreme compression you get from the pricier models.
Ignite is designed with a focus on ease of use, durability, and freedom of movement. It uses a lightweight version of Speedo’s performance fabric, which still gives you great support and reduces drag in the water, but is easier to put on and more comfortable to wear for longer periods.
Why swimmers choose LZR Ignite

- Lightweight, flexible fabric that feels natural in the water
- Bonded seams for a smooth, streamlined fit
- Durable design that stands up to frequent use in both training and competition

How to care for your competition swimwear
Competition swimsuits and trunks are technical garments with bonded seams and applied logos. They last longest and keep their fit and compression when you treat them gently:
-
Rinse right away in cold, clean water after each use—even after swimming in chlorine or salt water. Don’t wait until you get home.
-
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and rubbing break down fibers and loosen seams and logos.
-
Use mild soap or detergent made for swimwear. Avoid bleach and softener.
-
Never wring out your swimwear. Gently press out the water.
-
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sun, radiators, or other heat sources.
-
Don’t leave your swimwear wet in a bag or rolled up in a towel—this traps heat and chemicals that wear out the fabric.
-
Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges or tiles that can snag your suit or loosen the logos.
