How to care for your racing swimwear

Racing swimsuits and swim trunks are technical garments with welded seams and applied logos. They last longer and maintain fit and compression when treated gently:

• Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use, including after chlorinated and saltwater. Do it before you go home.
• Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and rubbing break down fibers and loosen seams and logos.
• Use mild soap or detergent designed for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
• Never wring the garment. Gently press out water.
• Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources.
• Don't leave the garment wet in a bag or wrapped in a towel — it retains heat and chemicals that wear down the material.
• Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges and tiles that can snag seams and logos.
