How to Care for Your Racing Swimwear

Racing swimsuits and swim trunks are technical garments with welded seams and applied labels. They last longer and maintain their fit and compression when handled gently:

• Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use, even after chlorine and saltwater exposure. Don’t wait until you get home.
• Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and friction break down fibers and loosen seams and labels.
• Use mild soap or detergent meant for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
• Never wring out the garment. Gently press the water out.
• Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sun, radiators, and other heat sources.
• Do not leave it wet in a bag or rolled up in a towel—it traps heat and chemicals that wear down the material.
• Avoid rough surfaces such as pool edges and tiles that can snag seams and labels.
