How to care for your competition swimwear

Competitive swimsuits and jammers are technical gear with welded seams and applied labels. They last longer and maintain fit and compression when handled with care:

Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use — even after chlorine and saltwater exposure. Don't wait until you get home.
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and friction degrade the fibers and loosen seams and labels.
Use mild soap or detergent meant for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
Never wring out the garment. Gently press out water.
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources.
Do not leave wet gear in a bag or wrapped in a towel — this traps heat and chemicals that wear down the material.
Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges and tiles that can pull on seams and labels.
