How to Care for Your Competitive Swimwear

Competitive swimsuits and swim trunks are technical clothing with welded seams and applied logos. They last the longest and retain their fit and compression when handled gently:

Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use — even after swimming in chlorinated or saltwater. Don’t wait until you get home.
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and friction break down fibers and loosen seams and logos.
Use mild soap or detergent designed for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
Never wring the garment. Gently press out water.
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources.
Do not leave the garment wet in a bag or rolled in a towel — this traps heat and chemicals that wear down materials.
Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges and tiles that can snag seams and logos.
