Bathing poncho - Recommendations

The bathing poncho is a huge hit to and from the water in the pool or the beach - for kids and adults alike. This dries just as well as a towel, but makes it a lot easier to keep warm, when you put it over your body and cover yourself up from the elements.

For the same reason, a bathing poncho is also a great and popular product for surfers, paddleboarders and winter swimmers.

When you pick a bathing poncho, you can typically pick from 3 types:

• Microfiber: This is the cheapest kind of poncho. When the poncho is made from microfiber, it is typically very light and thin, and therefore easy and quick to wear, and doesn’t take up much space in your bag. Microfiber also absorbs a lot of water, so you can wring it and remove the water, and use the poncho again.
• Cotton: This is the comfortable and heavier material, which feels warm and soft - just like your typical towel. Because of this the cotton ponchos are also more expensive. The disadvantage is that they can get wet after a couple of times use, and needs to be dried. Offers great protection from wind.
• Waterproof: This is the most expensive type of poncho, with several unique properties: A water-and windproof construction on the outside, and soft microfiber terry cloth on the inside. It is typically used by triathletes, winter swimmers and open water swimmers, who use the poncho often, and needs to store gear.
