Bathing suits for girls - Recommendations

There are many models of girls' bathing suits, each with their own strengths. Especially when it comes to the conditions they need to fulfil in relation to the activity. Some are ideal for lane swimming and training, while others are more suitable for water play and holidays down south.

What they all have in common, however, is that they need to be comfortable to wear for long periods of time and fit snugly so they don't flap around in the water. This means, for example, that most girls' bathing suits have a high leg cut around the hips for maximum freedom of movement. Of course, it's also possible to get a girls' bathing suit with legs. 

Many of these features can be attributed to the design of the straps on the back. In general, the different designs fall into two broad categories, namely “racer back” and “U-shaped”. Since the U-shaped back is mostly for women with shapes and large breasts, this design is not particularly relevant for girls. The racer back, on the other hand, is, as it provides a very close fit and ensures that the swimsuit stays where it should - even during wild water play.

This helps to make it more comfortable and versatile to wear. Additionally, you may notice that many girls' bathing suits come with straps of varying thicknesses. This is mostly important in terms of how well they stay in place, either during serious swim training or water play. The wider they are, the longer they will last.
