As an open water swimmer, the wetsuit is an essential part of the experience in the water, where particularly flexibility, heat retention and buoyancy are critical factors. This also applies to SUP where you in particular need a suit that allows great freedom of movement and that can keep you warm both on the board, and if you fall off the board.
Therefore, the suit is precisely 3 mm thick, which means that you get an optimal combination of flexibility and warmth. The wetsuit is made of thermal neoprene, which has a high stretchability. The fact that it is thermal guarantees that you get increased heat retention compared to other suits of the same thickness, which helps to keep you warm, even in the winter.
The open water performance has been one of our focus areas, which is why the suit has a fit that many triathletes and open water swimmers can be satisfied with. This combined with increased flexibility around the arms, meaning that your freedom of movement increases.
We have also focused on making the collar itself comfortable to wear, so that you do not experience severe chafing. This is achieved by using Korean neoprene, which provides a tight and soft close. In addition, you can easily adjust the collar so that you achieve an optimal fit just for you.
Last but not least, it is equipped with a zip at the back, which allows for a quick transition. Therefore, it is also equipped with flexible double-layer ankle panels, which is advantageous particularly as a triathlete, where you often have to take the suit off as quickly as possible and avoid a lot of water ingress.
To finish the look and be totally ready for open water swimming, we recommend using neoprene gear, which covers places where the wetsuit does not and thus increases the heat retention in the cold water. As such, you can have a look at our Watery neoprene set, where you can get gloves, socks, and hoods at a great price. You can see the entire set by clicking here.
The Watery Open Water wetsuit is available in a kids' model in black/silver with a Watery logo on the chest, but is also available for women and men.
With the Watery Open Water wetsuit, you get a wetsuit where, due to its thickness, you can use it all year round, regardless of whether it is winter or summer. We have focused on it being able to be used for both regular stay in water, swimming at a high level and for paddleboarding.
