With this wetsuit, you're not just getting a "shrunk-down adult suit" but a wetsuit specifically designed for young divers. It addresses the two biggest challenges kids and teens face with wetsuits: staying warm and ease of getting it on.

Questions & answers

Why should the suit have a hood?

When children are in the water for a long time (especially during diving or snorkeling in Denmark), the head is where they lose most heat. An integrated hood prevents the 'cold shock' on the neck and keeps the ears protected.
Is 5 mm too warm for a charter vacation?

If your child is only swimming on the surface in 20-25 degree water, it might be a bit warm. But if you plan to dive (where the temperature drops with depth) or snorkel for an extended period, 5 mm is perfect to avoid cooling down, even in southern locations.
How are the sizes?

SEAC First is a junior model that typically matches the child's age/height (e.g., 9, 11, 13 years old). It's important that the suit fits snugly to retain heat. Always check the size guide and prioritize height over age.
Is it also good for swimming?

For general lane swimming, 5 mm can feel a bit thick and gives a lot of buoyancy. But for play in the sea, snorkeling, and diving, it is absolutely ideal.

Maintenance

Rinse your wetsuits in cold water after each use to remove salt and chlorine.
If needed, use pH-neutral soap and hang them to dry out of direct sunlight.
Store your wetsuits on a hanger to prevent creases and keep the neoprene in top condition.
