This is by far our best-selling swimsuit for new competitive swimmers who are just getting into the sport or aren’t quite sure yet if it’s for them. Here’s why:
1. It’s 100% FINA-approved.
This ST. Dame NEXT swimsuit is a genuine racing swimsuit, approved by FINA for use at all Danish and international swimming competitions.
2. Great support without feeling too tight
Many new and younger swimmers prefer not to have a swimsuit that feels much too tight. This one won’t feel that way. It’s designed for beginners but is still made for racing, so it fits close to the body and provides good muscle support while still allowing you to move freely.
3. Helps you swim and feel faster
In this Arena women’s racing swimsuit, you’ll almost feel like you’re flying through the water compared with the non-racing swimsuit you’ve probably been swimming in until now. It may even help you achieve one or two new personal bests.
That’s largely because this swimsuit is highly water-repellent. You can pour water onto it, and it will simply run off.
4. A great design
This color is hard to resist and appeals to many. You’ll definitely look sharp on the starting block at your next meet.
At the end of the day, this is simply the best beginner racing swimsuit for many swimmers. It’s relatively affordable compared with the more expensive alternatives, and it gives you the chance to experience how a racing swimsuit fits snugly and, most importantly, reduces drag in the water.

How to care for your racing swimwear
Racing swimsuits and swim trunks are technical garments with welded seams and applied logos. They last longer and retain their fit and compression when handled with care:
-
Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use — including after swimming in chlorinated or salt water. Don’t wait until you get home.
-
Hand-wash only. Never use a washing machine or tumble dryer. Heat, spinning and rubbing can break down the fibers and loosen seams and applied logos.
-
Use mild soap or detergent made for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
-
Never wring out the garment. Gently press out the water.
-
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight, radiators and other heat sources.
-
Don’t leave the garment wet in a bag or rolled up in a towel — this traps heat and chemicals that wear down the material.
-
Avoid rough surfaces such as pool edges and tiles, which can snag seams and logos.
Arena ST NEXT is:
- Like a regular training swimsuit, just water-repellent = a beginner racing swimsuit.
