How to care for your competition swimwear

Competition suits and jammers are technical gear with bonded seams and applied logos. They last longer and keep their fit and compression best if you treat them gently:

• Rinse right away in cold, clean water after every use—even after chlorinated or salt water. Don’t wait until you get home.
• Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and friction can damage the fabric, seams, and logos.
• Use mild soap or detergent meant for swimwear. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener.
• Never wring out your suit. Just gently press the water out.
• Dry flat in the shade, away from sunlight, radiators, or any heat source.
• Don’t leave your suit wet in a bag or wrapped in a towel—heat and chemicals will break down the fabric faster.
• Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges and tiles, which can snag the seams or logos.
