How to Care for Your Competition Swimwear

Competition swimsuits and jammers are technical gear with welded seams and applied logos. You’ll get the best life, fit, and compression out of them by handling them gently:

• Rinse right away in cold, fresh water after every use — even after swimming in chlorine or saltwater. Don’t wait until you get home.
• Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or dryer. Heat, spinning, and rubbing will damage the fibers and loosen seams and logos.
• Use mild soap or detergent meant for swimwear. Stay away from bleach and fabric softener.
• Never wring out your suit. Gently press the water out.
