Racing swimsuits and jammers are technical garments with welded seams and attached labels. They last longer and maintain their fit and compression when handled gently:

Rinse immediately in cold, clean water after each use — even after chlorinated and saltwater swims. Don’t wait until you get home.
Hand wash only. Never use a washing machine or tumble dryer. Heat, spinning, and friction break down fibers and loosen seams and labels.
Use mild soap or detergent specifically designed for swimwear. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
Never wring the garment. Gently press out the water.
Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sun, radiators, and other heat sources.
Do not leave the garment wet in a bag or rolled in a towel — this traps heat and chemicals, wearing out the material.

This is the second pair of Arena competition trunks I've bought for my son. He outgrew the first pair. He finds them comfortable and he says they make him swim faster. That's good enough for me!

Super, competition swimming trunks

I am very pleased with my new red swimming trunks. They have a fantastic fit and sit perfectly on the body. The color is vibrant and appealing, and the fabric feels comfortable against the skin. I have used them both for swimming and sunbathing, and they have remained nice and colorful even after repeated washings. Way too small

My son is 10 years old ordered according to age and size guide according to body measurements and the pictures of the children that were available but they did not match the size at all Max would have fit our 4 year old weighing 15 kg instead of our 10 year old weighing 30 kg around approx. 140 cm tall and max 67 cm hips and Max 60cm waist but they absolutely couldn't get the swimming trunks on so very misleading size guide even though they are competition swimming trunks so definitely take a size bigger, there are ties in them which was not clear from the ad description. He didn't even get his swimming trunks up over his butt/thighs
